Immigrant Entrepreneur: Barriers & Solutions
During the summer of 2023, I was accepted as a 2023 Fellow at the Institute on Immigrant Integration Research and Policy at the Rockefeller Institute of Government. The fellows deep-dived into different aspects of the economic integration of immigrants and developed research syntheses with policy recommendations. In August 2024, we presented our findings at the 'Harnessing the Power of Foreign-Born Residents' Economic Contributions'.
NYAAPOR Young Public Opinion Stars 2023
In April 2023, I had the pleasure of presenting some results from my study at the NYAAPOR's annual public opinion competition. The study is titled 'Political Parenthood: Do 'Bad Mothers' make for 'Bad Candidates'? '.
Natural Hazards Workshop 2022
After a year of analysing data from COE & NIST's post-diaster household survey in Lumberton, NC, I presented some key insights at the Natural Hazards Workshop 2022. The poster presentation was on the distribution of financial resources - federal and non-federal - among the respondents. This gives us a better idea about the social vulnerability factors that shape owning insurance and accessing non-insurance resources.
